So glad Lucas and Ford got together to do a 4th before its too late. This film is gonna be awesome, a fitting end to the Harrison Ford - Indiana Jones Legacy.
Indeed this too would be a 'bootleg' version. if this could be changed to the Yahoo or Indianajones.com version it'd be great as they are far better quality.
But I think it looks promising... promising indeed.
Am I allowed to be unimpressed? Somehow feels like they're just trying to cash in on the awesomeness of the last crusade and the lost ark (does temple of doom even count?), by adding explosions.
Yeah i got to agree, i was not impressed by this trailer which pains me because i love the Indiana Jones Series ("thats Docta Jones to you"). It seems more slapstick funny comedy than the others. The others had those charming moments where you can find humor but they maintained a sense of dramatic seriousness. That whole truck scene where goes through the windshield (isnt hurt) and delivers a perfect one liner to the camera ruined the entire trailer for me. Plus knowing Lucas its going to be a CGI orgy and that failed to make the new Star Wars Trilogy any good. When are they going to learn that seeing real people do real things will always be better. So yeah dont get your hopes up there is a good chance this is going to blow.
Nope, most of the shots are done in camera and there are good old fashioned stunts to boot! That said, there's at least two CG scenes visible in this trailer-the temple with all the tall pillars, and the overhead view of the 2 cars racing side-by-side along the clifftop(the cut-away was an obvious process shot) but mostly "real".
We can thank Spielberg for this approach- Lucas would have undoubtedly turned it into another CG wankfest if he'd been sitting in the Director's chair.
But did anyone else get that awful Starwars sarcasm feel? Like the car chase in episode II where Anikan seems to do impossible things that nearly cause death but seems to never get injured and has to crack a little wit about it. Though he's a Jedi so there is an excuse but i just dont remember Indy being so sarcastic.
Sweet my first top 15 video. If anyone has some embed skillz let me know if i can change to the HD or the indianajones.com version, that'd be pretty sweet. I am not an embed jedi.
the one liner was a little odd, but when he was running over the boxes after the car with the music going, i was jumping up and down on my chair shouting "GO INDY!" like i was 13 again
edit: know what i noticed about the one liner? if he'd said it AFTER punching them, it would have been 100% oldschool indy
I can't wait for this movie. The trailer gave me the same feeling as the old movies did. It looks like it has the same style and grace as the old ones. Him picking up his hat and putting it on is iconic.
I don't know. I really don't know. Maybe it's just the editing of the trailer but it really seems to have some campy action. If all of the action scenes are like that in the warehouse then it's going to go downhill fast. I have high hopes for this film but it will probably just be the milkfest that it appears to be. Heres hoping they dont't blow it.
Come on guys. I think we all got too much nostalgia pumping in our blood. The man is senior now, whats going to happen is that he will hand it over to some new schmuck to carry the franchise into the 21st Century.

Oh god I can see it now: Indy dusts off his fedora and slaps it on Shia Lebouf's head. "Here kid, you're gonna need this." He rides off into the sunset set to rousing John Williams score.

It'll be all the disappointment of Star wars ep 1.
although on the up side. no jar jar!

My only problem is Shia. "No no no no no no!!"
I hear he jumps over shit with his Lark motorized chair in this one.....
The only thing he jumps over in this movie is The Shark...

LOL - You mean like throwing a spear into a tank barrel and the tank blows itself up?
