I think he's saying "thinking" though I was talking to someone, and they thought it was singing. "Thinking" makes it funnier - I sing - er think.

The German guy definitely mistakes "sinking" for "thinking" since lot of my fellow Germans are having trouble pronouncing the "th". So he asks back "what are you thinking about?"
