I can't tell if you're trolling, but the candidates were not allowed any prepared material. Neither of them. The organizers put blank paper and writing utensils on the lecterns and that's it.

You don't think he's perhaps suffering mental illness or under the influence of drugs? In which case this is an incident he may well regret later, or at least be helped to overcome in some way?
From what we're told in the video he hasn't actually harmed any one yet, and poses no immediate threat to the officers or anyone else we can see nearby. And you think he should die.

From what we're told in the video, knifey "had already assaulted people in the neighborhood" but that is coming from an officer defending his colleagues actions.
And I disagree that he posed no immediate threat to the officers. I mean, he jumped on a squad car and tried to open the driver side door knife in hand.

What's your alternative? Get out of the car and try and Taser him from close range as he charges you? No, that's not reasonable. The only alternative is shooting him. And incapacitating him with a moderate speed collision seems more humane, actually.

Two things - doesn't a referee have the ability to assume that the play had continued without the penalty? For example -- a defender catching a shot on goal with his hands. Can't the ref just red card the guy and assign the goal without the need to take a penalty kick?
Second, this guy should be banned from the league for a stunt like this.
