True, they are different things but I was putting them together because they do generally have a lot to do with each other, and in the video they're both part of the disease. I do agree that the vid is a bit offending, but nonetheless I enjoyed the different perspective on it.

The question is, is the triumph really triumph at all when we do what we do with the world but can't, for example, make our own food? We can know what there is that's in a carrot, but we can't make it out of all the components we know it has. How is that a triumph? We're messing with things we don't know about and it's gonna have a lot of unforeseen consequences, good bad and neutral.

Btw my vid turned out to be a dupe, here's the original post if you wanna vote on it: http://www.videosift.com/video/When-the-Earth-has-a-case-of-the-Humans

global warming and human dominance over nature is different matter I believe.

The fact that bothered me about the video tagged humans as something bad, and human triumph over nature is a 'disease'. That everything human is a bad thing and nature is this happy fairy world where everything is nice and sweet.

As in listen to all the hype about humans destroying the planet. ( I believe in it myself but I did before encountering it on a mass scale ).

Some examples of wild animals not reacting to humans after a while are unintentionally domesticated city pigeons, and cows and other livestock by roads that learn it's not an immediate threat ( it's known as habituation - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Habituation ).

The dangers would be everything that comes with global warming, which are pretty dynamic but bad.

( Sorry, I have this bad habit of not mentioning all the required contextual information. )

Listen to what exactly? Animals stop reacting to humans?? What dangers are you talking about?

In reply to this comment by karkarlee:
Yeah personally videos like this do have a good message, but it's gotten to the point where no one's gonna listen if they haven't already. Just like animals will stop reacting to humans, humans will stop reacting to the dangers around them if they're pushed in their face all the time. It's just instinct.

The animation is adorable. Thanks for the vote.

ugh. what's wrong with a good invasion and domination of your surroundings. Live in a jungle forest digging your own latrine and make your own clothing. I'm sure that'll be just hunky dory instead of living the life of a 'virus'

upvoted for cute art, otherwise I woulda downvoted for its BS hippie philosophy.

My god I actually find myself agreeing with you. These feelings must be purged.

In reply to this comment by legacy0100:
kudos to Jenna for trying to raise the bar. That's genuinely commendable.

However,

Do I buy what she's pitching? No

Does it help to get her message acrossed by appearing on O'Reilly factor? No

Does porn stars have a chance to make it legit and be respected in society? As an individual, yes. As an industry, never.

Ive never practice a kick above my knee.

In reply to this comment by legacy0100:
Wow this is very much like your regular Mixed Martial Arts fights. Surprised to see a form of Martial Arts so Modern.

I mean, I'm used to Dojo's teaching you all these forms and high kicks that felt very impractical.

But at the same time, maybe it's TOO pro-MMA? Because right now after watching this clip, I don't see how you can differentiate between your regular MMA training and this GKY.

Maybe it's just a copy of the popular martial art form of this day? Who knows?

I congratulate you on breaching the mountain top that is the 100s club, they server cheese dip and cheap imported beer there.

I still believe your political views are all wrong and can be all expressed through a usage of a rude 4 letter word.

Power Points are actually not a star power. If you check out the support page you'll see how to get more Power Points, but basically you have three options: 1) donate at least $10; 2) go charter; 3) buy power points.

Let me know if you have any questions and congrats again on the 100 stars!

In reply to this comment by legacy0100:
hey lucky.

i gots me a problem.

as you may know, I recently received 100 gold stars.

but for some reason my max power points are still limited to just 1, instead of 2.

Why is that?

quality

Thanks peeps.

What do you mean by 'King of the understated title'?

j00 saying I suck at coming up with good sift titles?!?!REWAF@#!@!@!!@$

MUST clarify here:
last night I was "altered" and was thinking that no title could do the awesomeness of the clips I was watching justice, and I was respecting that you didn't do stuff like "the most awesome kid's story" (or whatever, because I suck at coming up with catchy titles)...you know, titles given just to grab attention that might not be totally accurate (like I do)....you just post good clips!
Anyway, I don't know if I'm helping here, but suffice it to say I had good intentions and meant it with respect...that was my trip
you rock!
your videos rock!
forgive me?????

I bookmark all videos that strike me as really really good, and just look at my bookmark list when I have a power point lazing around that I don't feel like using. I thought it a tragedy to see so few votes on that song.
